Conquer the undisputed crown peak of Gulangyu Island at Sunlight Rock (Riguang Rock, also known as Dragon Head Hill). Rising 92 meters abruptly above the sea, this giant granite rock formation is the highest point on the island. Ascend winding stone staircases cut directly into granite cliffs, passing ancient calligraphic cliff inscriptions carved by Ming Dynasty General Zheng Chenggong, who used this height as a naval lookout. At the circular peak platform, gaze down upon red-tiled roofs, leafy tree canopies, and the blue ocean.
